Mikey Madison Exits New Star Wars Film, Leaving Ryan Gosling’s Co-Starring Role Up for Grabs

Mikey Madison will not be joining Ryan Gosling in an upcoming installment of the beloved franchise.
A report indicates that Madison, 26, was offered a role in the next Star Wars film, which will feature the 44-year-old actor, but she has declined the opportunity.
Details about this new entry in the sci-fi series, titled *Star Wars: Starfighter*, remain sparse; however, director Shawn Levy, known for *Deadpool* and *Wolverine*, is set to lead the project.
Madison recently celebrated winning an Academy Award for her leading role in *Anora*, where she portrayed the titular character, a sex worker who navigates a remarkable Cinderella-like journey.
After receiving the Best Actress award from last year’s winner, Emma Stone, Madison described the experience as “surreal,” expressing, “Hollywood always felt so far away for me. So to be here standing in this room today is really incredible.”
Before the awards ceremony in March, Madison revealed in an exclusive interview that she has been receiving exciting offers since the film was released last year to critical acclaim. “There are some things that I am really excited about and have my fingers crossed,” she mentioned at the time.
