Watch Judi Dench React to Receiving a Red Thong in Hilarious Holiday Gift Fail: ‘Not My Color’

Judi Dench knows what she doesn’t want for the holidays.

The British dame, 89, had a hilarious reaction to a series of off-target gifts in a new campaign for the UK disaster relief organization ShelterBox.

“I’ve sneaked down to open my presents early,” she says in the clip, shared by the charity on Monday, Nov. 25. Dench then tears open a package to reveal a pair of red thong underwear. After inspecting them with a look of confusion on her face, she declares, “Red’s not my color,” and tosses the item aside.

Next, the actress opens a pair of rollerblades. “See, I’m an ice skater myself,” she says.

Finally, Dench is gifted a pink bedazzled dust pan and brush. She lets out a laugh before narrating a voiceover: “Why not give a present that means something this Christmas?”

“Dame Judi Dench doesn’t want a thong for Christmas… So what does she want?” the post’s caption reads.

The caption continues, “💚 This year, she has a clear message for Santa: instead of spending money on unwanted presents, give a gift that really means something. Visit ShelterBox.org/VirtualGifts to purchase items for families left homeless after disaster and conflict. Together, we can make a difference.”

Dench recently spoke out about the Sept. 27 death of her longtime friend, Maggie Smith.

At a Cheltenham Literature Festival event on Saturday, Oct. 5., Dench reportedly became emotional when asked about Smith.
