**Trump Unveils $5M ‘Golden Visa’ Card Branded With His Portrait**

The concept of premium residency permits bearing Donald Trump’s branding has transitioned from proposal to physical form.
On Thursday afternoon, April 3, the former president showcased an inaugural prototype of his proposed “Prestige Pass” during an airborne press conference aboard Air Force One. The $5 million alternative to traditional green cards, targeting affluent foreign nationals, could reportedly launch within “two weeks or sooner,” according to Trump’s estimates.
“For a modest sum of five million dollars, this revolutionary document becomes yours,” Trump declared, displaying the metallic-hued credential to journalists.
“Can anyone identify this exclusive item?” he quizzed the press corps before confirming: “It’s the ultimate access pass – golden privileges bearing my endorsement.”
The metallic document’s design elements mirror U.S. currency iconography, replicating the federal seal’s typography while displaying “5M” and “$5,000,000” denomination markers in opposite corners.
Central to the card’s visual identity is a stern portrait of Trump gazing downward, framed by patriotic symbols including Lady Liberty and constellations of stars, accompanied by the businessman-turned-politician’s autograph.
When questioned about initial purchasers, Trump humorously responded: “Your inaugural applicant? That distinction belongs to yours truly.”
First unveiled in late February, these premium residency permits target “exceptionally accomplished” international applicants. Unlike standard visas, the golden credentials purportedly provide immediate work privileges and accelerate pathways to permanent residency status.
Commerce Department official Howard Lutnick emphasized stringent vetting protocols during the initiative’s announcement, stating candidates must demonstrate “exceptional achievements and global citizenship merit.”
The proposed framework would phase out existing EB-5 investor visa protocols, which currently grant residency in exchange for substantial economic investments and job creation initiatives.
Current EB-5 regulations mandate applicants generate at least 10 permanent domestic employment opportunities through minimum investments of $800,000 in qualified projects.
