Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Continue Their Whirlwind N.Y.C. Weekend with Surprise Appearance at US Open
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are continuing their whirlwind New York City weekend at the US Open final.
The singer-songwriter, 34, and Kansas City Chiefs tight end, also 34, made a surprise appearance at the tennis event on Sunday, Sept. 8.
For the event, Swift donned a red and white gingham sundress and cat-eye sunglasses with her signature red lip. Kelce, meanwhile, opted for a cream-colored ensemble with a Gucci bucket hat. One fan video on X (formerly known as Twitter) showed them entering Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens holding hands.
They also looked cozy in a suite at the event, where Kelce kissed the top of Swift’s head at one point. Kelce’s teammate Patrick Mahomes also joined them for the tennis outing.
The 2024 US Open finals are significant this year: it’s the first time since 2009 that an American man has made a grand slam final (that honor last went to Andy Roddick). Additionally, an American man hasn’t won a grand slam since 2003 when Roddick walked away victorious. A potential win from Taylor Fritz could end a long drought for America.
Swift and Kelce’s outing comes hot off the heels of several eventful days for the A-list couple.
On Thursday, Swift attended the Chief’s home opening game for the 2024-2025 season cheering on Kelce. She sat with his parents Ed and Donna Kelce to see the team defeat the Baltimore Ravens.
Later that evening, the pair celebrated the win at Prime Social in Kansas City. An insider told PEOPLE that “everyone partied hard; a good time was definitely had.”
They added: “Travis and Taylor both let loose.”
On Friday, Sept. 6, Swift and Kelce flew to New York City and grabbed dinner at Brooklyn hotspot Lucali.
“They were sitting in the main room with everyone. Travis was super nice and thanking everyone around him. Taylor looked stunning, and they seemed very happy together,” a source told PEOPLE about their date night.
On Saturday evening, Swift and Kelce attended the wedding of model Karen Elson to Electric Lady Studios owner Lee Foster. The “Blank Space” singer wore a dreamy cream-colored floral dress, while the NFL star donned a black ensemble with slicked-back hair.
The Chiefs’ next football game will be on Sunday, Sept. 15 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
