Sex Pistols’ Steve Jones Reveals Awkward Starbucks Fart Fiasco with Lisa Marie Presley: ‘Is That Bad?’

The ‘God Save the Queen’ artist admitted to passing gas near a famous figure. “Lisa Marie Presley was seated outside a Starbucks once when I walked by and let one rip,” he shared.
Jones mentioned that Presley, who passed away in January 2023 at 54, “had a disgusted expression.” “I simply continued into Starbucks,” he recounted. “Is that wrong?”
In another part of the conversation, the musician reminisced about meeting Cliff Richard while hosting a radio program. “I asked if he wanted to join the show for some fun, and he agreed,” Jones stated.
“He showed up with his guitars and wouldn’t stop talking,” the artist continued. “He performed all the classic tracks. He’s a true professional. They don’t craft them like that anymore.”
After the 84-year-old Richard departed, Jones recalled, “I had his contact info, and he surprisingly phoned my landline when we were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.”
“He left a voicemail belting out, ‘Congratulations! And jubilations!’ It was hilarious,” Jones added.
This week, the Sex Pistols revealed plans for their first North American tour in over two decades, featuring founding members Jones, Paul Cook, and Glen Matlock alongside singer Frank Carter.
Starting September 16 in Dallas, the quartet will play their 1977 album Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols in full during the tour, concluding October 16 in Los Angeles.
John Lydon, the band’s original frontman also known as Johnny Rotten, expressed irritation in February after discovering Carter’s addition to the lineup.
“I feared they’d ruin everything good about the Pistols by stripping away their essence. Those words weren’t chosen carelessly,” he told iNews.
