Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse Are ‘Very Much in Love and Happy’ — Plus ‘Great Parents,’ Source Says (Exclusive)

Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse are loving life as a family of three!

The couple, who welcomed their baby daughter in March, are enjoying their time together in Los Angeles and are “doing great,” a source tells PEOPLE.

“They are very much in love and happy,” the source said. “They take turns working so one of them can always care for their daughter.”

“Rob’s an amazing dad,” the source adds. “They are both great parents and truly enjoy it. They travel together as a family and love to bring their daughter along.”

The insider noted that some of the activities the family enjoy doing together in L.A. include hiking, strolling to get a coffee and simply savoring their downtime between projects. 

“Everything is pretty normal,” the source says. “They are working parents and enjoy quiet, simple family life when they’re off.”

Earlier this month, the couple made their first public appearance together since welcoming their daughter — whose name they have not yet publicly released — at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in L.A.

Pattinson, 38, sported a blue suit for the outing, while Waterhouse, 32, wore a belted floral Antonio Marras hourglass dress. The pair appeared to be enjoying a rare date without their baby as they posed for photos and took in the polo play.

In July, the Daisy Jones & The Six star opened up about how she and The Batman actor have been adjusting to being first-time parents, and revealed that parenthood has been a learning process for both of them. 

“We were both actually just like, let’s just be surprised. Let’s just see what it’s like, and let’s be surprised by the whole thing,” Waterhouse recalled on The Run-Through with Vogue podcast. “But those first two weeks were absolutely insane. You spend so much time just imagining what it’s gonna be like. And I think for me, it just felt like this transition.”

She did note that it helps that Pattinson has been the “greatest” dad to their baby girl and even “enjoys” some of the tougher parenting tasks like “diaper changing.”

“He thinks it’s fun,” she explained. “The surprise, and everything.”

Waterhouse also got candid on Emma Chamberlain’s Anything Goes podcast about raising her daughter in the public eye, sharing that “it’s gonna get harder and harder” as she grows up. 

“If she’s going to have a life where I bring her out, that’s what I care about more,” she said. “I care more about me being peaceful and being able to show her the world than hiding her inside and stuff like that. It’s like that I want her to have a cool life.”
