Post Malone’s Former Fiancée Seeks Primary Custody of Their Toddler in Recent Court Filing
The “Congratulations” rapper welcomed a daughter with his former fiancée in May 2022, just weeks after announcing their pregnancy. Instead of making an official birth announcement, the Grammy winner revealed the joyful news during a conversation with Howard Stern in June 2022.
A few months later, during an interview with GQ, the Crocs collaborator discussed the challenges of balancing life on the road with fatherhood.
“It’s really tough not being able to see her, but she’s coming out more often now,” he shared with the outlet. “I’m just happy to see her. But it is heartbreaking having to leave and not be able to be with her all the time.”
In an August 2023 episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, host Alex Cooper asked Malone about his biggest fear in life. “I guess not being able to be there for my baby, which is a new fear,” the rapper admitted. “That’s why I’ve tried to slow down on drinking, to take better care of my body.”
While speaking with CR Fashion Book for the Muses issue in September 2023, the “Circles” rapper discussed his choice to keep both his daughter and his former fiancée out of the spotlight.
“I feel like a lot of people feel entitled to know every single detail of everyone’s life, and it’s why I don’t want to post any pictures of my baby. I want her to be able to make that decision whenever she wants to and is ready,” he explained.
“We live in such an interestingly semi-connected world where everybody is just a phone call away, but you lose a lot of the intricacies and nuances of being with a person and seeing what’s actually happening.”
