The 49-year-old star, portraying a resolute guardian figure to Ellie (Bella Ramsey, 21) in a dystopian landscape, revealed his personal connection to Joel’s defensive instincts during a cast press event.
“I’m quite intensely protective,” Pascal stated before the April 13 Season 2 debut. “That instinct extends to those I care about deeply. It’s undoubtedly the trait I identify with most.”
