Olivia Culpo Shares Game Day GRWM Video — Featuring Surprise Appearance from Christian McCaffrey’s Mom: Watch

Olivia Culpo is sharing a look at her pre-game beauty and fashion routine ahead of husband Christian McCaffrey’s NFL season debut — with a little help from her mother-in-law!

On Sunday, Nov. 10, the former Miss Universe, 32, posted a GRWM (“get ready with me”) clip on Instagram, tied to a partnership with Neutrogena, before she made her way to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Fla., to watch Christian, 28, and his San Francisco 49ers take on the Buccaneers.

During the clip, in which Culpo raved about Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost Water Gel, the model prepared for a “long day of travel” with the product and did her makeup off camera, before trying on a breezy game-day look.

“I’m going to wear a sporty, casual, easy outfit,” Culpo said, as she tried on some black athletic gear, a pair of white New Balance sneakers, gold earrings, a red, black and white windbreaker and a black baseball cap.

But before showing off her finished outfit, Culpo’s mother-in-law, Lisa McCaffrey, made a surprise appearance while Culpo complimented her camou-print “cargo pant” ensemble.

“You look good,” she said, encouraging Lisa to appear in front of the camera.

At the end of the video, both Lisa and Culpo struck a pose — as Lisa exclaimed, “Let’s go!” — ahead of the 49ers-Buccaneers matchup. The game marks Christian’s 2024 season debut after he was listed on his team’s injured reserve due to bilateral Achilles tendinitis, per ESPN.

“Sometimes you take it for granted that you play this game for a living and it’s what you do, it’s what you train for, but when it’s taken from you, even just for a little bit of time, it makes you really appreciate every single day you’re on the grass,” Christian told reporters on Friday, per the outlet.

It’s been a big year for Christian and Culpo, who wed in her home state of Rhode Island on June 29. The pair first sparked romance rumors back in May 2019, before eventually getting engaged in April 2023.

Speaking with reporters in August, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan joked about the star running back’s “obsessive” mentality for his career, and how Christian likely had football on the mind during his wedding day. “Walking down the aisle to get married, he’s probably thinking about his feet and how to do routes,” Shanahan told reporters, adding, “No offense to Olivia.”

“He’s obsessed with it,” the coach continued. “And so when you do get in these situations where you do get hurt and you can’t go do all that stuff, at least he’s put the work in before.”

At the time, Shanahan added that Christian “understands what it takes to play in this game, especially at the level he does.” So far, the 49ers — who lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2024 Super Bowl — are 4-4 following a victory against the Dallas Cowboys on Oct. 27.
