National Best Friends Day: These two met more than 15 years ago, back when they were dating different Jonas brothers. And while those relationships are now relegated to song lyrics, Taylor and Selena are going strong, still taking time to catch up over dinner and hanging out at award shows together.
Snoop Dogg & Martha Stewart

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s friendship is no joke! The two first met in Chicago in 1993 when they were on a team at Improv Olympic (now iO), Fey said on Sunday TODAY with Willie Geist.
The two starred on Saturday Night Live in the early 2000s, have a four-time tally of co-hosting the Golden Globe Awards together and even have a live comedy tour called “Tina Fey & Amy Poehler: Restless Leg Tour”.
Oprah Winfrey & Gayle King
National Best Friends Day: Like many great friendships, Oprah Winfrey’s and Gayle King’s began with a sleepover.
The two had been working as a news anchor and a production assistant/writer, respectively, for WJZ-TV in Baltimore when a heavy snowstorm rolled in. Not wanting King to get caught in the weather, Winfrey offered King a place to stay the night.
“We ended up talking all night long,” Winfrey told PEOPLE in 2022. “We’ve literally been friends ever since.” Nearly 48 years later, the pair are still going strong!

Dawson’s Creek may have given us some great television, but it gave us an even greater friendship.

Pedro Pascal & Oscar Isaac
National Best Friends Day: This duo met while appearing in an off-Broadway play almost 19 years ago in 2005.
Pascal and Isaac later worked on the 2019 action film Triple Frontier, and they have both dabbled in the Star Wars universe (Pascal stars in The Mandalorian, and Isaac played Poe Dameron in the seventh film in the Star Wars’ Skywalker Saga).
In a 2022 interview with Esquire, Pascal said that Isaac became like “family” over the years, jokingly calling him “the younger brother I never wanted.”

National Best Friends Day: Though their hit CW series Riverdale may have wrapped in 2023, the former costars are still friends, showing up to support each other as they navigate their lives post-Riverdale.
“We’re all kind of experiencing the same anxieties at the same time and it’s really nice to have people who relate to you and that way,” Mendes said of relying on Reinhart and Petsch on an episode of PEOPLE in 10.
