Meghan Markle Shares Enthralling Tales from Her Adventures with the ‘Dog Guy’ in Canada and the U.K.

Meghan Markle’s cherished rescue beagle Guy features in her latest Netflix series, shortly after the Duchess of Sussex revealed his passing.

On January 7, Meghan, 43, posted a heartfelt tribute video on her new Instagram, stating in part, “I have shed countless tears — the kind that lead you to stand in the shower with the irrational hope that the running water on your face will somehow make you numb to them, or trick yourself into believing they aren’t present. Yet they are. And that’s perfectly fine too.”

In With Love, Meghan — which premiered on the streaming platform on March 4 — Guy is captured on screen in episode five, resting peacefully by her side in his bed.

“Guy’s always there — he’s my constant companion,” Meghan remarked in the footage. “He has been by my side in Toronto, the U.K., back in Canada, and California.”

“Guy possesses countless stories to share,” Meghan further mentioned.

In another segment of the series, Meghan prepared her renowned dog biscuits — one of the items she distributed last year prior to the launch of her lifestyle brand — and offered one to Guy. Meghan also hinted that Guy had an affinity for bacon in an earlier episode, stating that her bacon “lures my husband and three dogs to the kitchen — not my fragrance.”

She dedicated the series to her beloved dog. “In loving memory of Guy,” is inscribed in a tribute at the conclusion of the eighth episode.

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet Appear in Meghan Markle's Tribute to Late Dog Guy

Meghan adopted Guy while residing in Canada and working on Suits in 2015, the year preceding her encounter with Prince Harry. Harry, 40, and their children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, all made appearances in the January 7 tribute video to Guy, who was integral to Harry’s 2017 proposal to Meghan and was at her feet on their wedding day whilst she had her hair and makeup done.

“He was with me through everything: the tranquility, the tumult, the serenity, the solace,” Meghan expressed in her tribute message. She added, “Thank you for countless years of unconditional affection, my dear Guy. You enriched my life in ways you could never comprehend.”

Referring to With Love, Meghan, she continued in her January 7 post, “Since many of you will now see Guy in this new series, I hope you’ll come to grasp why I am so heartbroken by his absence. I believe you might even fall a little in love as well.”
