Meet Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi’s 2 Kids: All About Son Jaden and Daughter Jaz

While Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf had a lot in common even before they married in 2001, their children have given them infinitely more to share.

In October 2001, the famous tennis couple welcomed their first child, son Jaden Gil Agassi, into the world. Two years later, in October 2003, Steffi gave birth to their daughter, Jaz Elle Agassi.

Andre recalled in his autobiography Open that his own father was incredibly strict, longing for him to become a professional athlete. “My father yells everything twice, sometimes three times, sometimes 10,” he wrote. “Harder, he says, harder. Hit earlier. Damn it Andre, hit earlier, Crowd the ball, crowd the ball.”

Much later, when it came time to parent their own children, Andre and Steffi chose a different route: “We never really introduced tennis so much into their lives. They’ve chosen other things,” Steffi shared.

In a 2024 conversation with USA Today, Andre was firm about one of his positions on parenting. “The idea that a parent would attach a child’s right to be loved in this world based on their performance is a tragedy,” he explained. “What somebody needs to do to be pro at 16 years old is crazy, right?”

Here’s everything to know about Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf’s two children, Jaden and Jaz.

Andre and Steffi welcomed their older child, son Jaden Gil Agassi, on Oct. 26, 2001.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Jaden grew up out of the spotlight but never far from his parents. In a 2024 interview with WSJ. Magazine, Andre shared that his prized possession is a beaded necklace Jaden made for him.

“When he was four, he asked me to help him. [He said] ‘I want to make this, I want to write, ‘Daddy rocks.’ I’ve never taken it off but it broke and it’s getting [fixed],” he said.

According to his father, Jaden slowly learned that his mom and dad were famous during his upbringing.

Andre told PEOPLE in 2024, “You go through a whole phase of them going, ‘Well, this makes no sense that the people are coming up as if there’s a big deal.’ And then they start to put together why it’s a big deal.”

He continued, “They start to realize they’re looking behind the Wizard of Oz curtain and they realize it’s not all that. So there’s a healthy balance that kind of is inevitable through the whole process.”

But while Jaden may not have thought tennis stardom was “all that,” he’s carved out a path of his own in baseball.

In 2019, Jaden signed with the University of Southern California. In a photo he shared on Instagram, Steffi and Andre were photographed standing proudly behind him.

In 2023, his junior year at USC, Jaden appeared in 13 games and made nine starts.

The tennis legends’ younger child, daughter Jaz Elle Agassi, was born on Oct. 3, 2003.

Also born and raised in Las Vegas, Jaz leads an even more private life than her older brother. In his book, Andre disclosed that after Jaz was born, he and Steffi privately vowed that Jaz – like Jaden – would not play tennis.

“It’s a weird sport,” Andre told Fox Sports. “We don’t see too many second-generation players. For us, it’s about raising our children in a way we can share in their life and not always worry about their life.”

Jaz is a dancer, as well as a horseback rider. From her Instagram, it’s clear that she loves time spent outdoors, enjoying everything from snowboarding to making “cow friends” at a farm.
