Kristen Stewart Ties the Knot with Dylan Meyer in a Romantic Ceremony!
Kristen Stewart is married!
The Twilight star, 35, tied the knot with Dylan Meyer in Los Angeles on Sunday, April 20, according to reports.
The couple exchanged vows at home in front of a small group of loved ones — including Ashley Benson and her husband Brandon Davis — after obtaining a marriage license at the courthouse.
A representative for Stewart did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Stewart and Meyer, who made their relationship Instagram official in October 2019, got engaged in 2021. During an appearance on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show that year, Stewart humorously noted that Meyer, 37, the daughter of Oscar-nominated screenwriter Nicholas Meyer, was the one who proposed.
“It’s not a given that I would be the one, you know what I mean? With two girls, you never know who’s going to fit what gender role,” the actress explained to host Howard Stern. “I joked for a bit, saying, ‘No, I want to be the one to propose,’ and then she just made it happen. It was so cute,” she added, praising Meyer’s proposal as “knocked it out of the park.”
Stewart has opened up about the moment she first declared her love for Meyer. “It was really late, and we were in a dingy bar. Her friends were there, and when they left, I just said, ‘Oh man, I’m so in love with you.’ It was a spontaneous moment,” she recalled in a November 2019 appearance on the show. “It wasn’t planned, but it was so obvious.”
In early 2022, Stewart shared her thoughts on wedding plans during an interview with late-night host Stephen Colbert, expressing her desire for a “big party” but also suggesting they might marry spontaneously. “We might just do it this weekend and hang out with everyone afterwards. I just want to do it; I’m not a good planner,” she said.
Later, she mentioned on CBS Sunday Morning that their wedding would occur “when it’s supposed to happen,” adding, “But I also don’t want to be engaged for five years. We want to do it, you know?”
Although the couple has maintained a relatively private relationship, they have occasionally shared glimpses of their love story. In a birthday tribute to Stewart in April 2023, Meyer affectionately referred to her partner as her “favorite Shrimp.”
“Sweetheart, I love you more than all the shades of green, all the phases of the moon, all the cats in LA. Love you more than chunking express, or Denis Johnson’s already dead, or the stooges’ raw power,” Meyer expressed playfully on Instagram. “I love you more than a Domino’s pizza when you’re stoned, a Ricky’s fish taco when you’re hungover, and even more than a plate of hot, extra crispy wings from Rustic, aka the pinnacle of my capacity to love.”
She continued, “Some might say that’s too much love, but I think those people are squares. Go big or go home! Happy birthday dude, I love you so much!”
When Meyer first posted a photo with Stewart on Instagram in October 2019, showcasing the couple sharing a kiss, she wrote, “Find me under the covers hiding from the happiness police.”
