Ken Jeong Puts His Spin on ‘I’m Just Ken’ on The Masked Singer’s Barbie Night — See His Epic Performance! (Exclusive)
Ken Jeong wants to prove he’s Kenough.
In a PEOPLE exclusive clip from the Oct. 23 episode of The Masked Singer, Jeong, 55, puts his spin on “I’m Just Ken” for the show’s Barbie Night after fellow judges Jenny McCarthy, Rita Ora and Robin Thicke appear to be the ones receiving all the love from host Nick Cannon.
During the performance, Jeong slides onto the Masked Singer stage and rides atop a pink unicorn float while McCarthy, 51, Thicke, 47, and Ora, 33, cruise around in a pink convertible.
Ryan Gosling popularized the song as Ken in 2023’s Barbie movie and earlier this year, the actor performed “I’m Just Ken” at the 2024 Oscars, where the track received a Best Original Song nomination. Mark Ronson, Slash and Wolfgang Van Halen joined Gosling, 43, for the performance.
The Oct. 23 episode of The Masked Singer will celebrate Barbie’s 65th anniversary when Group B’s Bluebell, Chess Piece, Goo and Wasp return to the stage. Also on Wednesday, Oct. 23, Jeong will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“Beyond honored. ❤️🙏,” Jeong wrote on Instagram on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
So far on The Masked Singer season 12, Dust Bunny unmasked as actor and comedian Andy Richter, Ship unmasked as singer-songwriter Paula Cole, Showbird unmasked as Community star Yvette Nicole Brown, Woodpecker unmasked as Black-ish actress Marsai Martin and Leaf Sheep unmasked as NFL legend John Elway.
Buffalos won the Group A Finals to go through to the quarterfinals that will take place later in the season. The panel thought the trio of Buffalos might be B2K, Black Eyed Peas, Boyz II Men or Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.
Buffalos beat out Ship in the Battle Royale to move forward. Cole, 56, told PEOPLE she felt like she “died, basically” when she took off her Ship mask.
“I felt pretty sad to have it all end,” the “I Don’t Want to Wait” singer said. “I shed a little tear. I wanted to stay in that mode a little longer. But ultimately, it doesn’t really matter to me. It’s just a fun show, and I had a joyful time.”
The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays on 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
