Katy Perry Taps Doechii for Spicy ‘I’m His, He’s Mine’ Music Video — Watch!

Katy Perry left no crumbs in her performance for the “I’m His, He’s Mine” music video.

On Friday, Sept. 13, the pop star released the music video to her catchy collaboration with Doechii, which will be featured on her upcoming album 143.

The music video, directed by Torso, opens with Perry, 39, skydiving with a man and making out with him mid-air. Then, she appears atop a silver Corvette in a metallic bikini. As the car speeds down a scenic road in Barcelona, Perry slides down the windshield and busts into the splits as she sings along to the tune. Meanwhile, Doechii is dancing in an elevator as she delivers her portion of the song.

After Perry is tossed off the car and lands in the arms of a hunky man, she meets up with Doechii and they crawl around each other on the floor. Then, Doechii grabs onto a large drone to soar through the sky as Perry engages in several makeout sessions.

“I’m his queen, I’m his freak/I’m every woman he wants and needs/I’m his dream, I’m his drug/I’m every woman he wants, so what?” Perry sings, before Doechii, 26, steps in. “I’m his boss, I’m that bitch/I’m every woman he knows exists/I’m his main, I’m his side/I’m every woman that’s in his mind.”

The song and music video release comes after Perry received the Video Vanguard Award at the 2024 MTV VMAs on Sept. 11.

Before receiving her award, Perry took the stage for an epic, nearly 10-minute performance of “Dark Horse,” “E.T.,” “Teenage Dream,” “I Kissed a Girl,” “Firework” and “Lifetimes.” Doechii also joined her onstage for the live debut of “I’m His, He’s Mine.”

After receiving her award, Perry jokingly revealed that she delivered the performance under difficult circumstances.

“I did that all on the first day of my period, and couldn’t believe it,” she told the audience, before sharing her gratitude toward MTV for believing in her “weirdness” from the start.

“There are so many things that have to align to have a long and successful career as an artist,” Perry said. “There are no decade-long accidents. My team, who have been with me for over 20 years, direct management and my label, Capitol Records, trust me. It takes a village of strong people, a lot of healthy discourse and a lot of group chats.”

She also gave a sweet-out to fiancé Orlando Bloom for keeping her “grounded” and for “doing the dishes,” referencing her recent interview on Call Her Daddy where she said knowing her spouse took care of that chore arouses her. She also paid tribute to her daughter, Daisy Dove.

143 is out Sept. 20.
