Katy Perry Reacts to Interviewer Joking He ‘Slept’ with Her Fiancé Orlando Bloom
For a second, Katy Perry thought she might be receiving some troubling information about her fiancé, Orlando Bloom.
During an interview on the British talk show Lorraine, host Ross King joked to the 40-year-old pop star about having once “slept” with Bloom, 47 — and, well, he wasn’t exactly lying.
“Before we start, I feel like I have a confession. I actually slept with your [fiancé] Orlando,” said King, 62, before taking a pause, “on a plane coming back from New York.”
Perry, briefly appearing stunned, replied, “I love the dot, dot, dot about that.”
“He was behind me, and he tapped me on the shoulder, so there we are,” added King of Bloom.
“Okay, good. Phew,” said Perry, relieved. “Context is really key these days. So little context about everything.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the “I’m His, He’s Mine” performer revealed her secret to looking good at age 40: “Lots of doctors and Botox.”
Perry then gave a more serious answer. “My partner, Orlando, is a really good influence when it comes to diet. He eats so well, and he works out all the time — almost to the point where it’s annoying,” she said.
“But I love swimming. I’m a pretty good swimmer. I swim a really long pool at a club I belong to at home, and I do the turns in the water. I wear the cap and the goggles,” she continued.
Why swimming? “It’s very meditative, so I love that, and then I also like dancing. I like anything that’s a veiled workout,” said Perry.
Fresh off the release of her latest album, 143, the musician recently launched a string of international dates for her upcoming Lifetimes Tour. She opened up to King about her favorite parts of traveling the world to perform for fans.
“I am happy to discover the world. I’m happy to meet the people, I’m happy to be partaking in the culture. I’m very curious about everything and why. Maybe should’ve studied anthropology,” said Perry. “I just love people, and I love why they are the way they are, and so I like to learn about that.”
She added, “Really, when I tour it’s actually just a big trip around the world to connect with all kinds of different people. I love being on stage, of course, and there’s something really unifying about being on stage. It’s one of the places these days where you find connectivity.”
