Jason Kelce Lies Fireside in Just a Robe for New Campbell’s Chunky Commercial: ‘Is It Hot in Here?’

Jason Kelce is helping Campbell’s turn up the heat.

The former Philadelphia Eagles player is announcing the soup company’s growing line of spicy options in a retro-inspired and fur-filled commercial.

In the 15-second spot, which was shared first with PEOPLE on Sept. 9, the NFL star is lying seductively on a furry carpet. Kelce is strewn out, wearing just an Eagles-decorated robe and his signature flip-flops, in front of a roaring fire. He is surrounded by candles and in front of him is a golden tray with a bowl of Campbell’s Chunky Spicy Nashville-Style Hot Chicken Soup.

“Chunky is spicy. And it’s good to be spicy,” he says at the start of the video.

He continues, “I’m talking hunks of fiery, delicious protein,” and pauses to taste a spoonful. “Oh! Is it hot in here or is it just…chunky?”

At the end of the commercial, Kelce says the campaign’s slogan, “Soup that eats like a meal.”

New York Giant’s defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence stars in his own Chunky commercial, which was also released on Sept. 9.

Along with the steamy ads, there will be a toll-free hotline that soup and football fans alike can call to hear more about the line of spicy Chunky soups from Kelce himself. Starting on Sept. 9, fans can dial 1-855-HOT-SOUP to be serenaded by the father of three’s soup descriptions.

This is not the Super Bowl champ’s first time joining forces with the soup-er brand. Kelce has previously joined forces with Campbell’s as the face of the brand’s “Legend Edition” can in March and an earlier campaign with his brother, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, and their mom Donna in August 2023.

While Jason might not be on the field this NFL season, he will be getting involved in the games as part of ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown team. There, he promises to treat his younger brother like any other player.

“I don’t know that I’m going to cover Travis any differently than I do anyone else. I mean, I feel like I’ve been praising him for as long as I can remember,” Jason told PEOPLE. “I’ve got to be honest, I do think it’s important to do that whenever you’re commentating. So I’m just going to try and do that and just organically say what I think and not think too much into it.”
