Hugh Grant Blasts ‘Pathetic’ Rules at His Kids’ ‘Ridiculous Posh Private Schools’

The Notting Hill star is relatively private when it comes to discussing his children, but he has opened up in the past about the challenges of raising his five kids.

“I had them much too old in life, you know. I started when I was 52,” he shared on the Smartless podcast in November 2024, before joking, “Now I’m 64, and the youngest is 6, and I need a long stint in a sanatorium or an abbey.”

However, he has also admitted that he particularly loves when his kids “crawl all over” him — especially after returning home from work travels.

The proud dad shared on The Kelly Clarkson Show in November 2024: “I mean, I’m going home tonight and, let’s face it, the bit where they jump in your arms — my 6-year-old calls it her ‘chimpanzee hug.’ I quite like that.”

“I’ve made myself cry,” he added.
