Hailey Bieber Sparks Controversy by Liking Post Ribbing Justin’s Ex Selena Gomez and Fiancé Benny Blanco, Claims Creator

Hailey Bieber reportedly “liked” a video mocking her spouse Justin Bieber’s former partner Selena Gomez and her fiancé Benny Blanco, as claimed by the creator of the clip.

The 28-year-old model and Rhode founder liked a TikTok video targeting Gomez, 32, and Blanco, 37, specifically referencing the couple’s latest cover photo shoot for Interview magazine, according to TikTok user @courtneypresto, who created the video.

In the original TikTok video, posted on February 14, the user, using the name Courtney, wrote, “I honestly can’t determine which is worse,” over a collection of images from the Interview shoot.

“Apologies for doing this to everyone, but I had to examine these pictures so you must as well,” the TikToker commented over the video, further stating in the caption: “This is the WORST.”

Almost a month later, Courtney asserted in a new TikTok that Hailey had liked her video, including an alleged screenshot of the notification (showing the model’s verified TikTok account) to substantiate her claim.

“Hailey Bieber herself liked my TikTok,” Courtney claimed in her March 6 video. “Please don’t come for me in the comments, but I was being slightly shady towards Selena Gomez.”

The content creator elaborated that she interprets the action as evidence that the supposed “feud” between Gomez and the Biebers is “ongoing,” referring to the drama that both the Emilia Pérez star — who had a turbulent romance with Justin, 31, from 2010 to 2018 — and Hailey have attempted to dismiss over the years.

“I believe this serves as conclusive proof that, when Hailey Bieber claims, ‘Oh, it’s all love. Everything is fine, we hold no grudges. All is perfectly well,’ she’s being dishonest,” Courtney added.

A representative for Hailey did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s inquiry for a statement.

Previously, Hailey has exhibited public support for Gomez and Blanco’s relationship by liking the actress’s post from December announcing her engagement to the music producer. This social media action came over a year after she referred to the rumored feud between herself and Gomez as “entirely fabricated.”

“I don’t believe this is about me, Hailey Bieber, and Selena Gomez,” Hailey stated on Bloomberg’s The Circuit in 2023. “This does not concern a rivalry between two women — it’s about the nasty, repulsive hatred stemming from entirely fictional and distorted narratives that can pose real danger.”

Following the interviewer’s remark that the narrative is a “tiresome old tale” of two women set against each other “because of a man,” Hailey concurred, asserting, “I detest it.”

“I have disliked it from the start, and it traces back to being misrepresented,” the Rhode founder expressed. “Repeatedly, I state there is no conflict, and it’s incredibly disappointing that individuals still act this way over a man.”

Hailey also previously tackled the persistent feud speculations during a discussion on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast in September 2022. At that time, the model informed Cooper that it is “not [her] nature to interfere in someone’s relationship,” highlighting the “all love” sentiment between her and the Only Murders in the Building actress.

“I can affirm, unequivocally, I was never involved with him while he was in a relationship with anybody,” Hailey articulated regarding the timeline of her connection with Justin. “That’s the conclusion of it.”

Justin and Hailey wed in a modest courthouse ceremony in September 2018 and a year later, exchanged vows in a grand, star-studded celebration. They have a 6-month-old son, Jack Blues.
