Fans of the classic medical series received an unexpected delight when four principal ER cast members reconvened for a momentous event.

Portraying iconic roles including Dr. Doug Ross (Clooney), nurse Carol Hathaway (Margulies), Dr. Mark Greene (Edwards), and Dr. John Carter (Wyle), the actors gathered to support Clooney’s Broadway portrayal in the stage adaptation of the 2005 film Good Night, and Good Luck. The limited engagement continues at New York’s Winter Garden Theatre through June 8.

Clooney revealed during a February interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that his tenure on ER left him with more than professional connections.

“It’s remarkable – we’d effortlessly deliver twelve pages of complex medical terminology daily. I was thirty then,” the actor reflected, flawlessly demonstrating his retention of phrases like “supraventricular tachycardia” decades later.

In contrast, preparing for his Broadway role presented unforeseen challenges. Clooney described memorizing journalist Edward R. Murrow’s historic speeches as “daunting.”

“These profoundly significant addresses leave my mind blank mid-performance,” he confessed. “Absolute terror sets in momentarily.”

The actor humorously compared his current mental stamina to his younger self’s capabilities.

Theater enthusiasts can now secure tickets for the critically acclaimed production.
