Gavin Rossdale Welcomes Adorable Pup Kaya into the Family: “Our Hearts are Full!”

Gavin Rossdale has a new four-legged family member!

The 59-year-old Bush vocalist disclosed on Instagram Tuesday, March 25, that he adopted a new canine, Kaya, from a rescue in Los Angeles County. 

“Allow me to introduce KAYA – the newest member of our household,” he wrote in the caption. “10 days ago we welcomed this fellow from an east valley rescue.”

“What a vibe as we get to know one another. The boys are ecstatic,” he wrote regarding his three sons, Kingston, 18, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 11, whom he shares with ex-wife Gwen Stefani. The previous couple separate in 2015 after nearly 12 years of matrimony.

“We adore him. He’s home.🖤,” Rossdale concluded in his caption.

Rossdale’s girlfriend, Xhoana X, remarked on the post: “We adore him immensely! 🖤.”

He included three charming pictures of Kaya, featuring one snapshot of the black pup standing beside his new owner outside a residence. 

Rossdale also shared two candid images of Kaya enjoying his new environment. One was a black-and-white photograph of Kaya reclining on a light couch, while the other depicted Kaya standing alert on an outdoor porch.

The arrival of Kaya comes after the passing of Rossdale’s cherished dog, Chewy Mcgregor, in January 2024. 

At that time, Rossdale shared a touching tribute to his departed pup. “It’s been a tough few days. My family and I are quite heartbroken,” he wrote. “The house feels different; all his spots are empty, and the floor feels lifeless.”

“And he was my absolute little furry companion,” he added. “I can’t stop thinking about him, even when I appear to be engaged in something else. He was the one who was there during all my most challenging and lonely moments.”

“He was magic. Cherish your pets. Cherish your people. Love yourself better. 🖤,” he concluded.

Then, on the one-year anniversary of Chewy’s passing, Rossdale shared an Instagram photo in honor of his late dog. “One year today 💔 sweetest boy,” he simply captioned the selfie of him and Chewy with their heads sticking out of the car window.
