Adam Scott, known for his extensive acting career, revisited a memorable moment from 1995 when he starred in an episode of the popular series ER alongside Noah Wyle, Ming-Na Wen, and Sherry Stringfield.
Scott’s guest appearance on season 1, episode 20, titled “Full Moon, Saturday Night,” caught attention recently when a fan shared a video clip highlighting both Scott, currently starring in Severance, and Wyle, known for The Pitt. Speaking to Decider in an interview on April 8, the 52-year-old actor recalled details about his time on the show.
Surprised by the clip’s sudden popularity, Scott reacted, “Really? Really?! No way!” He even remembered the name of his character, David Kerstetter, who was treated by Wyle’s Dr. John Carter and Wen’s Jing-Mei “Deb” Chen after a car accident. “I don’t know why I remember that, but I just did,” shared the former Parks and Rec star.
One particular blunder stuck out for Scott, relating to a scene where he forgot a crucial prop. “There was a long take of me being wheeled in through the entire ER as Noah Wyle and [Sherry Stringfield] have dialogue above me,” he explained. “Except I had taken my breathing thing out of my nose and had forgotten to put it back in.”
Noah Wyle portrayed Dr. John Carter on ER starting from its first season in 1994 until season 11 concluded in 2005. He later returned for the show’s 15th and final season, airing between 2008 and 2009 when he was 23 years old.
Regarding his role in The Pitt, Wyle expressed his desire “to play a doctor again, but a different kind of doctor.” Describing his character Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, he aimed to create a figure that would offer viewers a fresh perspective on modern hospitals and healthcare.
