Ed O’Neill’s Unexpected Raucous Cameo in Daughter Claire’s TikTok: “Totally His Brainchild!”

Ed O’Neill is brimming with hilariously fantastic concepts.

In a recent TikTok clip uploaded to his youngest daughter Claire’s account, the 78-year-old actor proudly positioned himself behind her as they lip-synced to the opening of 2Pac’s “Hit Em Up.”

The clip commences with Claire solo on screen, adorned in a brown leather jacket. She gazes steadily into the camera while her hair is styled in a ponytail.

Her father, sporting a gray beret, an orange shirt, and what appeared to be gray trousers, walked onto the screen and mouthed the next part of the song.

He then pulled a funny face while nodding his head. Claire mouthed the subsequent lyrics of the song, swaying from side to side.

“This was his concept,” Claire indicated in the caption.

In the comments section, fans were eager to draw parallels between O’Neill’s TikTok character and his roles in Married … with Children and Modern Family.

“Everyone’s discussing Jay from Modern Family, that’s Al Bundy from Married with Children,” one admirer exclaimed. “This is unequivocally AL BUNDY, not Jay Pritchett,” another remarked.

The TikTok even elicited a response from O’Neill’s Modern Family co-star Sarah Hyland, who chimed in, “I AM SCREAMINGGGGGG 😂😂😂.”

Besides Claire, O’Neill is also a father to older daughter Sophia, whom he shares with his spouse, actress Catherine Rusoff. He and Claire had previously enjoyed a father-daughter date night during the official launch of Hulu on Disney+ in Los Angeles in April 2024.

For the occasion, Claire appeared graceful as she posed in a black strapless gown accompanied by a matching shawl. Her ensemble was completed with strappy heels, and her hair was styled loosely pulled back. Her father donned a blue checkered shirt paired with a blue blazer and black trousers.

In June, Claire was also seen on the red carpet promoting her father’s series Clipped.

While O’Neill has largely kept his children out of the limelight, he has previously recounted anecdotes about them, including the moment he introduced Sophia to Leonardo DiCaprio and shared her celebrity crush.

O’Neill’s forthcoming series, All’s Fair alongside Kim Kardashian, is set to premiere on Hulu in the future.
