Drake Reveals Justin Bieber Ignored His Instagram DMs for a Dream Collaboration

Will Drake and Justin Bieber reunite for a new musical partnership?
On Sunday, April 6, the “Sorry” artist shared a series of three unremarkable images and a dim selfie on Instagram, accompanied by a caption that read: “Dm me if u wanna create music together.”
While numerous fans of the pop sensation enthusiastically replied, fellow artists suggested their names as well — including Drake. The 38-year-old rapper commented: “I DM’d but no reply.”
Despite Drake’s public remark, Bieber, 31, did not directly address his comment or engage with other artists who responded, such as Big Sean, Kehlani, Jaden Smith, and country musician Bailey Zimmerman.
The comment quickly gained traction on social platforms, racking up thousands of responses and 41,900 likes.
Numerous fans replied directly to Drake’s statement. One user noted, “we better see a collab soon.” Meanwhile, other supporters flocked to X, with one comment stating, “Him and Drake on a track goes triple platinum btw.”
The two Canadian artists last teamed up over a decade ago, in June 2012, for the track “Right Here,” which appeared on Bieber’s third studio album, Believe. The song reached a peak position of No. 95 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in July 2012.
A forthcoming studio album for Bieber would mark his seventh release since his 2010 debut, My World 2.0. This anticipated new material from the “Stay” vocalist would be among his first since 2022 and 2023, when he collaborated with Don Toliver on the singles “Honest” and “Private Landing.”
