Elon Musk’s Younger Sister Asha ‘Rose’ Musk Marries in South Africa Wedding

Elon Musk’s younger sister Asha “Rose” Musk has tied the knot.

Rose married Charl Laubscher at BOSJES Farm in South Africa on Sunday, May 4, and announced their marriage the following day via a joint post on Instagram.

“Yesterday, I married my best friend on the soil and in the valleys of the country where I grew up,” Rose wrote on Monday, May 5. “We were blessed with the most beautiful weather and surrounded by the people we love so deeply. Every part of the day was exactly what I had dreamed of since I was a little girl.”

She continued, “Every person who shared the day with us has played a meaningful role in our lives and helped shape who we are today. We will forever treasure the memories of this unforgettable weekend.”

The couple shared six photos from the big day, including a shot of themselves riding off in a vintage blue car with two hearts and a handwritten message on the rear window that read “Just Married.” The post was played to “Chapel of Love” by The Dixie Cups.

The bride’s billionaire brother Elon, 53, does not appear to have attended the wedding. The pair share the same father, Errol Musk.

Errol had three children from his first marriage to Maye Musk: Elon, Kimbal Musk and Tosca Musk. Errol and Maye were married from 1970 to 1979. Following their divorce, Errol married Heide Bezuidenhout. Before they also divorced, they welcomed daughters Rose and Alexandra. Bezuidenhout had two children from a previous relationship, including daughter Jana Bezuidenhout.

In 2018, it was revealed that Errol had fathered a baby with his former stepdaughter. After he and Jana welcomed son Elliot Rush, they had a second child together, a daughter, in 2019.

Tosca showed her support for her sister’s marriage in the comments section of her post, writing, “Congratulations! ❤️❤️.”

Friends of the bride and groom, including model Jurgen Basson, posted about the wedding on Instagram.

“What a beautiful day celebrating @rose.musk_ & @charl_laubscher 💍❤️‍🔥🌬️🌹#SheMuskBeALaubscher,” Basson captioned his post alongside a mix of 20 photos and videos from the nuptials.

After Rose and Laubscher said “I do,” wedding guests tossed bright dried flower petals at them as they made their way down the aisle. At the end, the newlyweds shared a dip kiss.

Bridesmaids wore one-shoulder, floor-length dresses in pale turquoise. 

Rose and Laubscher sat side by side at a sweetheart table during the reception. In one photo, they sat back-to-back as Laubscher held up Rose’s white high heel, likely because they were playing a popular wedding game in which a host asks questions about the couple. In the activity, the spouses hold two different shoes, their own and their partner’s, to represent them, and raise the shoe they think matches the question.

“This is so, so beautiful! Was amazing to have you there ❤️,” Rose commented.
