**Claire Danes & Hugh Dancy Cash Out with $9.9M Farewell to NYC Home**

Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy have parted ways with their NYC residence.
The married couple finalized the sale of their West Village property for $9.9 million, according to the Wall Street Journal. Initially listed at $9.75 million in August 2024, the transaction closed slightly above asking price.
Danes, known for Homeland, and Dancy of Hannibal fame originally acquired the townhouse in 2012 for $6.9 million. Tamer Howard from Corcoran explained to the New York Times that the family of five sought more space for their growing needs and frequent gatherings with relatives.
The actors, married since 2009, parent three children: sons Cyrus (12), Rowan (6), and a toddler daughter. Their four-floor historic residence, constructed in the 1880s, spans 3,890 square feet with garden views.
The layout includes:
- A ground floor with mudroom, office space, and half-bath
- An expansive living area merging into a chef’s kitchen featuring heated flooring
- Four ensuite bedrooms, including a primary suite with skylights and steam shower
- Three landscaped outdoor zones and rooftop entertainment space
Architectural highlights include 11-foot ceilings, multiple fireplaces, and retractable glass walls connecting interiors to terraces. The basement houses a wine cellar and laundry facilities.
Fans can next see Danes in Netflix’s The Beast in Me, while Dancy continues his role on NBC’s Law & Order.
