Aaron Goodwin’s Shocking Divorce Following Allegations of Murder-for-Hire Plot by His Wife

Ghost Adventures celebrity Aaron Goodwin has initiated divorce proceedings following alleged murder-for-hire accusations against his spouse, Victoria Goodwin.

On Wednesday, March 12, Aaron, aged 48, submitted a divorce petition against Victoria, 32, in the Clark County, Nevada, court records acquired by PEOPLE disclose.

In the petition, Aaron requests that neither individual receive spousal support and that the community assets and liabilities of both parties be divided according to Nevada regulations.

He further requests that his individual assets and obligations be recognized as solely his and seeks reimbursement for “reasonable costs, expenses, and attorney fees incurred herein.”

Aaron mentions that his basis for seeking a divorce is the “discrepancies in views, preferences, inclinations, and aversions” between him and his estranged spouse, declaring they have become “so incompatible that it is no longer feasible for them to coexist as a married couple in harmony.”

The complaint further asserts, “There is no chance of reconciliation between husband and wife.”

Aaron and Victoria were married in August 2022, announcing their union on Instagram with several images from their celebration, which took place at Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion. Nevertheless, he stated their wedding occurred “on or about May 4, 2020” – the day they were initially meant to wed, according to Us Weekly.

When reached by PEOPLE, Aaron’s representative did not provide any comments.

On Thursday, March 6, Victoria was taken into custody on charges of soliciting murder and conspiring to commit murder, as per inmate documents in Clark County, Nevada, reviewed by PEOPLE.

Inmate records indicate that she was held on bail set at $100,000 and has a preliminary hearing planned for March 25.

A police report acquired by TMZ reveals that investigators uncovered messages from Victoria to an inmate in a Florida correctional facility regarding plans to murder her spouse, Aaron. She is accused of having shared details about the location and filming schedules of Aaron’s television program.

Victoria is alleged to have allocated over $11,500 to compensate the inmate in October 2024. They reportedly discussed a $2,500 advance fee, according to the outlet.

A reported text reads, “Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce,” as cited by the outlet.

Authorities allegedly became aware of these messages after correctional officers discovered and confiscated the unauthorized phone that the Florida inmate had. Victoria has denied any intent to have her spouse killed or wishing him harm, claiming she was merely fantasizing about a life without him, as per TMZ’s report from police sources.

PEOPLE had previously reached out to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, along with the police departments in Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Miami for further details but did not receive an immediate reply.
