Jill Duggar Dillard and Derick Dillard Celebrate 11 Years Since Engagement!

On Monday, March 31, the 19 Kids and Counting alum shared a heartfelt Instagram post marking the anniversary of her husband Derek’s proposal. Jill, 33, posted a series of photos from their engagement, including screenshots from the episode featuring it.

Recalling their engagement day in Bentonville, Arkansas, Jill expressed gratitude for having @derickdillard with her through life’s ups and downs. She mentioned how they had to recreate the proposal for TLC filming to ensure all camera angles were covered.

When they walked towards the square, the crew initially did not recognize them, causing a brief delay in filming as the location needed to be cleared for the shoot. Once the misunderstanding was cleared, they were allowed in.

Despite not knowing the exact location of the proposal, Jill had a feeling it would happen that day. Derick, now 35, had some surprises up his sleeve, including a song written by country singer Walker Hayes about their love story.

The couple got married three months later in June 2014 in Springdale, Ark. Derick expressed his happiness in marrying Jill, calling himself the luckiest man. They are now parents to three sons: Samuel Scott, Frederick “Freddy” Michael, and Israel David, who will turn 10 on April 6. Unfortunately, in April 2024, they shared the heartbreaking news of the stillbirth of their daughter, Isla Marie.
