Ángela Aguilar Speaks Out on Marriage to Christian Nodal Months After His Split: ‘No One’s Heart Got Broken’

Ángela Aguilar is opening up about her marriage to Christian Nodal.

The Mexican singers tied the knot on July 24, about two months after Nodal’s split from ex Cazzu (born Julieta Emilia Cazzuchell). In a new interview with ABC News Live, Aguilar responded to fan chatter surrounding their relationship.

“We’re all happy, we’re adults,” said the 21-year-old “Bolero” singer. “We know how to handle this situation. It’s not like what you see on social media.”

Aguilar claimed those who’ve speculated on the timeline of her relationship to Nodal, 25, “don’t even know five percent of the story.”

“All the parties involved were okay with it,” she added, explaining why all parties involved “have a clear conscience” on the matter: “No one’s heart got broken.”

As for the current state of her marriage to Nodal, Aguilar said, “Everything is good and we’re happy.”

“Life is so amazing right now, just as long as I turn off my phone,” she continued. “I just can enjoy how amazing life is.”

Ángela and Nodal announced their marriage in a joint Instagram post one day after the nuptials.

The pair announced their relationship in June, garnering attention for the seemingly brief interim since Nodal’s breakup from Cazzu, whom he dated for two years. The exes share a 10-month-old daughter, Inti.

In a June interview with Quién, Ángela addressed her relationship with Nodal and said, “People don’t have to know my truth.”

“I feel like if I explain it it makes me guilty of something I didn’t even do. That’s why I rarely defend myself, in fact, I don’t think I ever defend myself. Let people talk and say what they say, I know who I am and the important people in my life also know it,” she explained.

Nodal is currently in the midst of the North American leg of his PA’L CORA Tour, which continues through Nov. 10.
