Princess Beatrice and Husband Share Heartwarming Moment at Easter Celebration After Arrival of Baby Athena

Princess Beatrice is celebrating her first Easter as a mother of two daughters.
On Easter Sunday, she joined King Charles, Queen Camilla, and other royal family members for the traditional Easter Matins Service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
Hand in hand with her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Princess Beatrice entered the church on foot, accompanied by her younger sister, Princess Eugenie, and Eugenie’s husband, Jack Brooksbank. Other attendees included Prince Edward, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, and James, Earl of Wessex.
Also present were Princess Beatrice’s parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
At 36 years old, Beatrice and her 41-year-old husband are celebrating their first Easter since the early arrival of their second daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, on January 22.
On January 29, Buckingham Palace announced that Athena had been born a week earlier, sharing the first photograph of the infant, taken by Edo. Although the baby came several weeks ahead of her anticipated due date in early spring, her premature arrival was not unexpected.
The palace stated that baby Athena weighed 4 lbs, 5 oz., and that both she and Beatrice were “doing well.”
“Her Royal Highness and her daughter are healthy and doing well, and the family is enjoying spending time together with Athena’s older siblings, Wolfie and Sienna,” the palace shared, referring to their 3-year-old daughter, Sienna, and Edo’s 9-year-old son, Christopher Woolf, from a previous relationship.
Beatrice and Edo marked their first public appearance following Athena’s birth at the Borne Wonderland Gala in London on March 6, where the princess was introduced as the organization’s new patron. Borne is a British medical research charity focused on ending premature birth, and shortly after, Princess Beatrice expressed her thoughts on this “very personal appointment” in an essay.
“Preterm birth affects so many families, presenting them with challenges that I too faced. During this time, I found solace in being open with family, friends, and even other mothers at the school gates, and in learning as much as possible. So often we miss the chance to share our experiences, especially regarding our pregnancy or health in general,” Beatrice wrote.
“Once you begin to share, it becomes clear that everyone has a story and often a shared experience of birth. It fosters connection,” she reflected.
