In true Italian form, Jennifer Lopez had some exquisite dining experiences while visiting the Amalfi Coast on vacation.

The Atlas star, 54, recently visited La Gavitella, a restaurant and beach club with stunning views of Positano and Capri. Lopez and two friends stopped at the restaurant via boat in the late afternoon, a source tells PEOPLE.

“She was relaxed. She ordered, spoke and laughed with her friends,” says the source.

La Gavitella offers fresh seafood and pasta dishes like raviolo caprese. Lopez opted for the “chef’s specialty” — the linguine with lobster. The “Can’t Get Enough” singer, who is known for only drinking occasionally, ordered a non-alcoholic drink, a ginger ale, per the source.

Separation of Jennifer and Ben Affleck? For dessert, the chef prepared the group tiramisu – one classic version and one with limoncello, which is a signature ingredient of the Amalfi Coast.

Lopez and her friends sat outside at the covered terrace overlooking the stunning sea and coastline.

“Above all [she was] very, very kind,” says the source, adding that Lopez even went into the kitchen to meet the chef and suggested they all take a photo.

“She is a very radiant and elegant lady,” the source adds.

Separation of Jennifer and Ben Affleck? Lopez has been soaking up the sun on her European trip. On June 20, she was photographed lounging on a boat in the Mediterranean with friends. The group navigated a rocky seaside pathway to board a small dinghy to transport over to a larger vessel where they hung out taking photos and tanning in their swimwear.

Lopez is taking time this summer “to be with her children, family and close friends,” Live Nation announced on May 31 when Lopez canceled her planned concert tour amid what sources have called strain in her marriage to Ben Affleck.

Lopez has previously taken some epic summer vacations, both with friends and with Affleck.

Separation of Jennifer and Ben Affleck? In years past, the couple enjoyed trips to France and Italy over the summer, including during their 2022 honeymoon in Milan and Lake Como, and a birthday trip to Capri.

Lopez has said she’s “not a big vacation person” in general, but has spoken about her love for Italy. “When I finally went to spend a couple of summers in a row in the south of Italy, I really, really loved it,” she said in a 2023 interview with Travel + Leisure.

Separation of Jennifer and Ben Affleck? Even her own work is inspired by Italy. In 2023, she launched a lower-calorie alcohol brand, Delola, which celebrates her affinity for the Italian coast. Her photoshoot for the launch of the bottled spritzes took place in Italy.

“Spritzes were very popular over there. And I would always have my little drink with me on the boat for my birthday trips and things like that,” she told PEOPLE at the time. “For somebody who was born in the Bronx and didn’t really ever go on a boat or do anything like that, it evokes this aspirational kind of glamorous lifestyle, but also something very peaceful and relaxing and earthy to it as well.”

“It has this combination, which I think is very me, where it’s kind of down to earth and, but also super glam,” she added. “Jenny from the block meets the Italian coast.”
