Weekend in New England? More like Las Vegas!

On Tuesday, Dec. 3, Barry Manilow, 81, announced he accepted a lifetime residency at Westgate Resort & Casino’s International Theater in Las Vegas.

“It’s been an incredible journey performing at the International Theater,” Manilow said in a statement. “David Siegel and the Westgate team have been like family to me, and I am deeply grateful to have the opportunity to call Westgate home for the rest of my career.”

He later celebrated the residency on Instagram, writing in a post, “Have you been to Barry’s house? 🪩 You’re invited to see #MANILOW at @westgatevegas all year long!”

According to a press release, the “Copacabana” singer is set perform a series of holiday shows at the storied venue from Dec. 5 through Dec. 14. The concert will feature his smash hits as well as a selection of festive jingles.

The venue has released tickets for performances through November 2025.

“Barry Manilow is a generational artist and a dear friend,” said Westgate founder and executive chairman David Siegel. “Over the years, we have built a personal and professional relationship that is truly special, and I am honored to offer Barry the opportunity to perform at Westgate for a lifetime.”

Manilow made a new record at the concert venue last year when he played his 637th show and dethroned Elvis Presley for most concerts at the venue. To commemorate the milestone, the “Mandy” singer was presented with a key to the Las Vegas strip.

In May, Manilow caused concerns when he canceled a concert during his London residency, citing “doctor’s orders” via a statement on social media. However, he went on to perform the following night without any trouble.

At the show, the Grammy winner performed hits from “Copacabana” to “Looks Like We Made It” for an audience of fans including Pet Shop Boys’ Chris Lowe.

In an interview with ITV ahead of the London shows, Manilow declared he’s “done with touring.”

“Everybody tells me at this age, how come I am still running around and singing the high Fs? I don’t know, I just think it’s gotten old for me now. I’m done with touring, but I’ll keep making records,” he told the outlet.

Manilow spoke to Des Moines Register in July about his decision to stop touring and said he never thought his career “would last this long.”

“When I started making records, what you do is you make a record and you go on tour. I didn’t know it would last this long,” Manilow told the outlet. “I never thought this career of mine would last this long. We started in 1974, geez, and I began to see the country and meet the people of all of these cities. And I was always shocked when they showed up to see this skinny little guy doing his songs.”

He went on to confirm that he still planned on performing. “We all know I am saying goodbye to touring. I am not saying goodbye to performing. I am done packing,” Manilow said.

Tickets for Barry Manilow’s residency in Las Vegas are on sale.
