Jacob Elordi Steps Out With Brand New Beard: See the Transformation

Jacob Elordi officially ditched the clippers and embraced the full-scruff look at the Marrakech Film Festival.

The 27-year-old Priscilla actor debuted his brand new look with a longer hairstyle at the festival’s opening ceremony on Nov. 29. He also sported a classic black suit paired with a white shirt and a colorful frog broach.

Elordi was also photographed with his fellow jury members at the Marrakech Film Festival — including We Live in Time actor Andrew Garfield and Queer director Luca Guadagnino.

Fans expressed their shock and delight over the Euphoria actor’s new look — who is best known for his clean-shaven look — with one fan joking “that time jump in Euphoria has got to be the 20 year reunion” on X (formerly known as Twitter).

While it was recently announced that fellow Euphoria actress Storm Reid would not be returning to the show for season 3, Elordi — who plays Nate Jacobs in the hit HBO series — expressed that he is on board for the new season. In his interview withVariety back in April 2022, Elordi told the outlet that he would “like to see [Nate] come of age” since “I fear I’m growing too old for high school.”

In the meantime, Elordi’s other upcoming projects include his role as a young Richard Gere in their film Oh, Canada. The drama — based off the novel Foregone by Russell Banks — tells the story of legendary filmmaker Leonard Fife (Gere), who tells his life story to his former student Malcolm (Michael Imperioli) during his dying days. The film explores younger Leonard’s (Elordi) life as he struggles to keep his wife Emma (Uma Thurman) by his side.

The film’s synopsis teases that “[Leonard’s] successes are held up against his failings and, as the man is cleansed of the myth, [he] must confront what is left.”

Premiering at the New York Film Festival in October, the film is written and directed by Paul Schrader. It will also mark Schrader and Gere’s first film together since they worked on American Gigolo in 1980.

Oh, Canada is set to premiere in theaters on Dec. 6.
