Emma Chamberlain and Peter McPoland are sparking dating rumors after being spotted together on more than one occasion.

After walking together in New York City and attending a music festival in Utah, the entrepreneur and musician were seen sitting side-by-side at the 2024 Paris Olympics in July, fueling further speculation that the two are in a relationship.

In October 2024, Chamberlain and McPoland seemingly went Instagram official when they dressed up as Wallace & Gromit from the British stop-motion animated comedy franchise for Halloween.

Chamberlain, who has been in the public eye since her rise to fame on YouTube, previously dated musician Tucker Pillsbury, known artistically as Role Model, for three years before their split in October 2023.

McPoland, while known in the music industry, has maintained a relatively private personal life. However, his admiration for the internet personality became public in 2023 when McPoland called Chamberlain an “icon” during an interview on the Zach Sang Show and compared her to his other idol, Bruce Springsteen.

He was born in Vermont

McPoland was born in Vermont and later moved to Texas when he was 7, per Cleveland.com. He was involved in theater throughout his school years but ultimately wanted to get more involved in the musical side of things, he told Chron in 2019.

“I find myself enjoying time in theater and spending time with friends, but whenever I’m in the recording studio with this new song, it’s the most fun I’ve ever had in my entire life,” McPoland told the outlet.

His passion for music started at 9 years old

McPoland has been involved in music since he was a child, starting with school theater and eventually transitioning into writing his own songs. At 14, the artist picked up a guitar for the first time and taught himself how to play, per Columbia Records.

His passion was also heavily influenced by his parents, he explained to Cleveland.com in 2019.

“Both of my parents are very into music, and my father – a lot of my influences come from my father,’’ the musician said.

In 2021, he signed with Columbia Records, and his debut song, “i can’t sleep,” was inspired by his parents’ recent divorce. Two years later, he released his debut album, Piggy, under the label.

“I don’t cry much, I just write songs instead,” McPoland told Columbia Records. “I take whatever I’m going through, write it all out and put it in a point of view that rhymes. I don’t know if it fixes anything, but everything always feels a little better after that.”

He previously called himself a “big Emma Chamberlain fan”

During an interview on the Zach Sang Show in November 2023, McPoland got candid about his admiration for Chamberlain. 

“I’m a big Emma Chamberlain fan,” he said. “She’s an icon to me,” he added, noting he appreciates “what she’s done” in building her business.  

Chamberlain, who rose to fame on YouTube in 2016, has since expanded her brand with Chamberlain Coffee, her podcast Anything Goes and various ventures in the fashion industry, including the annual Met Gala red carpet interviews. 

The artist also compared Chamberlain to Springsteen, who has had a significant influence on him.

Earlier that year, in May 2023, he included clips of her YouTube work in his music video for “Blue.”

While the exact details of how Chamberlain and McPoland met remain aren’t clear, the pair were first spotted together in May 2024 near Rockefeller Center in New York City. They were seen later that month at the Kilby Block Party music festival in Utah.

They made their first public appearance at the 2024 Olympics

While neither the podcast host nor the musician has officially confirmed their relationship, the rumored couple were spotted attending various events at the 2024 Paris Olympics in July.

Chamberlain and McPoland were seen with the internet personality’s dad, Michael, at an event hosted by Ralph Lauren. They were later photographed the next day sitting side-by-side at the artistic gymnastics tournament.
