Barry Keoghan Caught Reacting to Sabrina Carpenter’s Flirty ‘Bed Chem’ Lyrics While Attending Her Concert

Where art thou, Barry Keoghan?

The Saltburn actor, 32, was in Virginia for the Short n’ Sweet Tour on Sunday, Oct. 20, to support Sabrina Carpenter, whom he has been romantically linked to — though “on and off” — since late 2023.

While watching Carpenter, 25, from the audience at Charlottesville’s John Paul Jones Arena, Keoghan was captured in fan footage reacting to her singing “Bed Chem,” a song speculated to be about their relationship.

In the song, from 2024’s Short n’ Sweet, she sings, ”Who’s the cute boy with the white jacket and the thick accent?” — among other steamy lyrics.

As she sang those lyrics at Sunday’s concert, Keoghan appeared giddy, especially after the “thick accent” line, at which point he covered his mouth with a piece of paper to hide him either smiling or blushing.

Keoghan previously cheekily referenced “Bed Chem” in September. While sitting front row at the Burberry Spring/Summer 2025 show at London Fashion Week, he was snapped wearing a white jacket.

Vogue then made a TikTok of his arrival set to Carpenter’s “Bed Chem” with the caption, “Who’s the cute boy with the white #Burberry jacket and the thick accent? Perhaps it’s #BarryKeoghan at #LFW?”

Keoghan replied, “He’s sart of like an Irish porson,” a nod to a tweet joking about their relationship. After rumors surfaced of him reprising his role as the Joker in The Batman II, an X user wrote, “sabrina carpenter: so what’s the joker? barry keoghan: he’s sart of like an evil porson.”

The BAFTA winner and the “Espresso” singer reportedly first met during Paris Fashion Week in 2023 and sparked rumors of a romance after being spotted having dinner in Los Angeles two months later in December 2023.

The singer recently tapped Keoghan to star in her “Please Please Please” music video. She later insisted she was not biased when choosing him for the role in a chat with CBS Sunday Morning’s Tracy Smith.

“I, genuinely — like, a not-even-biased opinion — I was like, ‘Who’s the greatest actor that I can find for this music video?’ And he was next to me in a chair,” Carpenter said. “And he was so excited about it.”

In the video, Keoghan and Carpenter take cues from classic crime couples like Bonnie and Clyde and Natural Born Killers. The actor is a hardened criminal, and Carpenter witnesses him committing crimes repeatedly until she gets tired of bailing him out of jail.

Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet Tour kicked off in September in Columbus, Ohio, and will end its 2024 run in Los Angeles on Nov. 15. The tour will resume in 2025 for international stops starting in Dublin on March 3.
