Bachelor in Paradise Stars Abigail Heringer and Noah Erb Marry in ‘Gatsby’ Garden Wedding in Tulsa! (Exclusive)

Abigail Heringer and Noah Erb have tied the knot!

The former reality stars, who met while filming season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise in 2021, married on Monday, Oct. 7, at the Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The couple tells PEOPLE the city — where they live together now and where Erb, 29, grew up — was “a clear choice” for their wedding location because they have made “countless memories” — beginning with the very early days of their relationship.

“From secret date nights when we were in hiding during Bachelor in Paradise to now putting down roots in our new home, Tulsa has always been so special to us,” Heringer, 29, says, referring to keeping their budding romance under wraps while the reality show was airing.

The couple quickly landed on the Philbrook — once the former home of Oklahoma oil tycoon Waite Phillips and his wife Genevieve — for their venue. The property features a 1920s Italian renaissance-style villa nestled on 25 acres of formal and informal gardens.

“It is an absolutely stunning venue,” Heringer notes. “We felt like it was a perfect way to showcase Tulsa’s beauty to our out-of-town friends and family.”

Befitting the Art Deco-era setting, the couple envisioned a Great Gatsby-inspired, “elevated garden party” theme for their nuptials, which were attended by 90 guests, among them many of their fellow Bachelor Nation stars. The list includes Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt, Chelsea Vaughn, Serena Chew, Ivan Hall, Thomas Jacobs and Becca Kufrin, Chris Bukowski and Anna Redman, Demar Jackson, Blake Moynes and Zac Clark.

When planning their big day — with help from Ever & Ivy Events — Heringer and Erb’s top priority was keeping things simple and fuss-free so they could be present in the moment and fully enjoy the experience with their loved ones. “Noah and I always knew we wanted our wedding to focus more on the quality time with our guests, with minimal wedding traditions involved,” Heringer explains.

Erb adds that they wanted the wedding to feel “low-key” and “just let things flow naturally.”

“We don’t do well with a structured timeline, and I know that would stress me out,” he explains, joking that he would have been perfectly fine with eloping. “I’m cool with running away with just her, and there’s not a huge thing around it.”

The pair — who got engaged in August 2023 in San Diego — threw a three-day wedding celebration that kicked off on Saturday, Oct. 5, with an informal “couples shower” at their house in Tulsa. It was an opportunity to not only welcome their guests to the city, but show off the home they have spent the last year working on.

On Sunday, Oct. 6, Heringer and Erb hosted their rehearsal dinner and a more formal welcome party at The Mayo Hotel in downtown Tulsa.

Then came the big day itself. After reciting private vows during a first look, the couple said “I do” and exchanged rings by Keyzar in a ceremony officiated by Erb’s older brother Ben, with music by cellist Erica Parker. Erb’s twin brother Aaron served as best man, and Heringer’s sister Rachel was maid-of-honor.

The couple’s German Shepherd, Maki, also joined in the ceremony. “We couldn’t imagine the day without him,” Heringer says of the dog.

The bride, who was escorted down the aisle by her father, wore Netta BenShabu‘s Jade strapless dress, which featured a sweetheart neckline and ethereal, Grecian-inspired draping details. “I had tried on several dresses and this was the only one I loved immediately,” she recalls to PEOPLE. “It had everything I was looking for — it was simple but yet unique, and it felt the most like ‘me’ out of all the dresses I tried on.”

Makeup artist Megan Prater oversaw her bridal glam, while Chelsea Bergin styled her hair.

For the reception, Heringer changed into Kate Willa’s Roj gown, a strapless column design featuring sheer French lace with hand-beading of pearls and cream sequins. “The dress just fit the atmosphere and history of our venue,” Heringer notes. “It’s romantic, fun, sparkly and everything I wanted out of my second dress.”

Erb wore a classic tuxedo with a white jacket and black pants by Don Morphy. “I’ve never been a fan of the two colors — not for me — but I tried it on and it looked really good,” he tells PEOPLE.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests gathered at an elegant cocktail reception, where they nibbled on passed hors d’oeuvres — including smoked cherry tomatoes and beet carpaccio — and enjoyed live music by local brass band King Cabbage. Drinks were served up by bartending service Fig & Foundry.

Everyone then sat down for a plated dinner — a must-have for the couple — with authentic Italian fare catered by Prossimo Ristorante. “We truly wanted it to feel like a family-style dinner, just very intimate, and have the whole night be good conversations and good food and drinks,” Heringer says.

The meal started with focaccia and crème fraîche with olive oil and balsamic, followed by an antipasto chopped salad. Guests could choose from three entrées: orecchiette and sausage, Chilean sea bass and wild mushroom risotto. In lieu of a wedding cake, the couple served peanut butter chocolate chip and limoncello flavored gelato cups. Late-night pizza from Andolini’s capped off the party.

Delicious food was particularly important for Erb. “We went overboard on food, as I knew that would be the moment [during the wedding] where I’m like, ‘This is good. This is it. This is how it should be. We got it done. Now we can just celebrate,’ ” he says.

Erb and Heringer shared their first dance as husband and wife to “Adore You” by Miley Cyrus. Throughout the night, guests recorded messages for the newlyweds on old-school camcorders to give them some special wedding memories.

Following the wedding, the couple will honeymoon in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. They had originally planned an extensive trip throughout Asia, but later “pulled a curveball” and instead decided on a more relaxed getaway with lots of R&R.

“We wanted to go somewhere quiet, where we could just fall off the map after the stress of wedding planning and my book tour,” explains Heringer, whose memoir The Deaf Girl was released on Sept. 10. “I’m so excited to just cozy up, explore Jackson Hole and Yellowstone park and have chill nights at our Airbnb.”

“We’ll do it next year,” Erb promises of their Asian adventure.

Eventually, the couple tells PEOPLE, they hope to start a family. “I say no more than four, five [kids]. We’ll see how it goes,” Heringer says, before jokingly adding, “But we’re not doing 10!” in reference to Erb being one of 11 kids in his family.

In the meantime, they are both simply looking forward to settling into married life and having a forever partner in each other. “We’re excited to share our days with someone who knows us inside and out and chooses us every day,” Heringer says.

“We cherish every day of our relationship and are excited about spending the rest of our lives together,” she continues. “Marriage means sharing our lives, supporting each other and continuing to grow together in this amazing journey.”
